The Scriptures Spoke to Me, Tonight I was listening! For that I am thankful for.

1 Nephi 7

This chapter I have read over and over again but never really stuck until now. However who knows the next time I read it, it won't have the same meaning. First of all, the first time that Nephi and his brethren are commanded to go to Jerusalem the murmur and complain saying "this is a hard thing in which is what is asked of us" but when they are asked to go to the house of Ishmael to get wives the go without murmur.

Vs. 9
How is it that ye have not harkened unto the word of the Lord?

Vs. 12
Yea, and how is it that ye have forgotten that the Lord is able to do all things according to his will, for the children of men, if it so be that they exercise faith in him? Wherefore, let us be faithful to him.

These 2 scriptures pricked my heart, I have not been that faithful in keeping the commandments. I must do better. I will do better. Not only for me but for my generation. And prosperity, It is my duty! Nephi then says "And if it so be that we are faithful to him, we shall obtain the land of promise..." I want that land of promise, and will spend all my day searching for it. It is my prayer that the Lord will sustain me in keeping his commandments. I love him dearly this is what I needed to hear this morning, on the 1st Sunday of the year after I had made my resolutions I have been blessed with the strength of the Lord. He is so good to me. He raises me up, and I will praise him name forever.
